I doubt anything can change the sorts who just want to give up and let something else run the world. It's easy; just become a child. No fan of children, I'm not interested and won't stay around forever, but in the meantime I can define the hidden reality.

No problem. "Participant observer" is just a nice word for "spy," and this is not my first time at it. It's an adventure I'll soon abandon, but first, better warn the troops!

Thanks, Yvonne, I'll check out the Mann titles. And ISL isn't tedious as much as very strange, with adults-as-children and content to be! I mean the half who aren't in early stages of dementia. It says something about the human condition and explains Trump voters, I guess. It's shocking.

If you would like a literary escape, I recommend a series of 3 detective stories by Paul Mann. Season of the Monsoon, The Ganja Coast and The Burning Ghatts. You will be transported far from the tedium of ISL!
